Post #3: Reflection

The book ends by showing that the commandments have changed from seven different rules, to one main rule:  ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL BUT SOME ANIMALS ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS.

In four paragraphs, please reflect on this quote from the book:

Paragraph #1:
How did the farm change from beginning to end in regard to the idea of all animals being equal?  Give examples to support your answer.

Paragraph #2:
Do you think Animal Farm is as strong as it was at the beginning?  Did the idea of equality change, if so, how?  Were all animals still equal?  Were they ever equal?

Paragraph #3:
What role did Squealer play in the book?  How effective was he in his job?  Give examples to support your answer.  

Paragraph #4:
Knowing how the events in the story related to history, how is the final quote symbolic of what happened in history?  Is it true?  What point was the author trying to make in writing this?

Post #2: Mechanics and Grammar

For this post, I want you to read the following examples that are in red type.  Then, I would like you to work on fixing any grammar issues that the passage might have.  Write your final version in the blog post as:  EXAMPLE #1, EXAMPLE #3, EXAMPLE #3.

EXAMPLE #1:
I remember the battle as if it was yesterday, the great snowball planned all perfectly: we the ducks attacked first, our mission was to make the farmers believe they had won by letting them go through our attack, but of course it didn't come to their head that there was a second attack waiting for them. 

EXAMPLE #2:
Hard work is paying off in the farm and i'm very happy to be working for this hard worker family. Now that i have the time to think about the thing that happened, for me, the Battle of Cowshed was a battle full of emotions.

EXAMPLE #3:
During this battle there was a carousal, I was very scared and I started to kick everything that I saw, I kicked a boy in his head with my iron horseshoe, he got knocked out.  Mr. Jones carried a gun, he killed a sheep that was on our side, and after the war we did a funeral in honor of the sheep.

POST #1:  My Life Through The Eyes Of The Animals

For this blog, you will be choosing one of the characters that we have discussed in chapters 1-5 and writing a blog post as if you were the character.

In chapters 4 & 5, the animals engage in the Battle of Cowshed and then a serious event happens to the dynamic of the farm, when Napoleon decides to oust Snowball.  Re-read the chapters if you need to refresh the events in your mind.  

1.  Choose one of the characters represented in the chapters.  

2.  You will be writing a blog post as the character you chose.  

3.  Put yourself in the place of the character and respond to the following prompt.
4.  Each post must begin with the post # and a title (i.e. Post #1:  Chaos on the Farm!)

The Battle of Cowshed was a crazy, yet calculated, event!  Describe your involvement in the event and what you were feeling at the time of the battle.  After the battle there was an event between Napoleon and Snowball.  Describe what you think happened in your own eyes--what was going on?  Who was involved? Who do you support and why?  What do you think about the pack of dogs, the small group of pigs making all of the decisions and...what's up with the windmill?  What do you think your future looks like??      

This blog post should be a minimum of 3 paragraphs.  Please make sure the spelling and grammar are good looking!  :)
