Post #1 Chaos on the farm
I am one of the heroes of the battle of cowshed. I am the most terrifying spectacle of all. I was wearing my iron hooves and pulling my plow. During the battle I felt super exited, and I was giving it my all. Everything was going excellently. I was scaring of humans and we were winning. But I then accidentally killed a man. I felt horrible I even started to cry. I know I was not supposed to but I could not help it.
After the battle was over things started to get a bit weird between Napoleon and Snowball. They were always fighting and Snowball practically never showed up to meetings. Well at least until the day that he kicked traitor Snowball out of the farm. I cannot believe that I was listening to that pig. Napoleon told us the truth. He told us all about how Snowball was on Mr. Johns side and how the windmill had been his idea from he very beginning.
I am so happy that we finally have a good leader such as Napoleon. He is always right, right? I mean he is the one true leader of Animal Farm, the creator of the windmill and the leader of the battle of cowshed. Or at least Squealer said that that was what he said; so if Napoleon said it, it must be true. I am just going to work harder so everything can be fine.

As
we said before we need to remember that this book actually narrates the story
of the Russian revolution. What happened in the revolution was that a small
group of people became the elite society; they had everything they could have
wished for. But, as for the rest of the population they were working harder
every day and not gaining anything (#forgetworkhadrplayhard). I believe that
Orwell decided to use the words “more equal” as suppose to superior to mock
this flaw in society and consequently in the book.

EXAMPLE #1
I remember the battle as if it was yesterday. The
great snowball planned it all perfectly. We the ducks attacked first Our
mission was to make the farmers believe they had won by letting them go through
our attack. But of course, it didn't come to their heads that there was a
second attack waiting for them.
EXAMPLE #2:
Hard work is paying off in the farm. I'm very happy to
be working for this hard working family. Now that I have the time to think
about the Battle of Cowshed I come to
realize it was a full of emotion.
EXAMPLE #3
The battle was filled with pandemonium, I was very
scared and I started to kick everything that I saw. I kicked a boy in his head so
hard with my iron horseshoe, he got knocked out. Mr. Jones carried a gun,
he killed a sheep that was on our side. In it’s honor, after the battle was
over, we gave it a proper funeral.

The
entire purpose of animal farm and the revolution was to create a far were all
animals were equal and nobody would be superior. A place where there would be
no hostile figure, like men; that abused and mistreated the animals. We need to
keep in mind that this book is in fact the Russian revolution; and that all the
animals in it represent a person or group of people in that era. Therefor at
the beginning when the idea of communism was introduced everybody was happy and
the rules that had been originally set out were being respected but as time
passed this stopped happening.

Orwell used the very famous fares used in the declaration of independence; all
men are crated equal and adapted it to the book. Transforming it into all
animals are created equal. This was one of the bases of the animal far society.
But by the end of the book it had suffered a slight modification, and got
transformed into “All animals are created equal but some are more equal than
others”. The abolishment of all the other commandments and the alteration f
this one reflected a corrupted society; were the people that made the rules had
nobody to control them so they changed them as they pleased.
I believe that what this quote
really means is that as soon as somebody is given the opportunity to have more
than others they believe they are better than others. For example in animal
farm the pigs were the smartest and always found a way to trick the other
animals into doing what they wanted. Consequently, because of this they thought
that they were better than the rest of the animals.

ReplyDeleteGood use of detail to add depth to your character's perspective. I really liked the first paragraph of your post. It is clear to me that you have a good understanding of what is happening in the book, and the role of the character you chose. Your depiction of Boxer is right on and, as the read, I was able to empathize with him. Make sure to proof your writing before publishing. There were a few grammatical and mechanic areas for improvement. Overall, nice job!!!

Nice post! Your writing has improved from your past essay. I was able to more clerly see your thoughts and analysis of the different elements that I asked you to reflect in the post. Your first paragraph was engaging and made a great connection to the historical element that the author was trying to portray.
The third paragraph did not address the question entirely. I was looking for the role that propaganda played in the book and in the revolution. That said, the points you outlined in the paragraph were interesting. There were several grammatical areas for improvement; make sure you have someone peer edit your posts before publishing.
I really liked the last post and the way you ended your thoughts. It was powerful and engaging! Your perspective on the real world connection was interesting.
