Hello my name is Boxer and i live on The Animal Farm. I fought in The Battle of Cowshed. This was a very Violent battle and i still have very vivid images from the fight. During the fight i did things that i wouldn't normally do, I killed a kid. I was so pumped and the adrenaline was flowing through my veins so i really wasent thinking while i was fighting. I still feel guilty about the battle because i was trying to help the animals but i didn't intend to hurt anybody.
After The Battle of Cowshed i saw Napolean and Snowball fighting over power like always. I really saw what was happening but i cant interfere because its their problem and i know that at the end of the day Napolean is always right so they will come to an agreement.
In Animal Farm we should all help and support each other, that is what should happen. I'm really starting to feel inferior because the majority of the animals aren't being consulted for the decisions and there is a smell clique that is taking all the decisions and i don't know why are the pigs and the dogs the only ones giving out opinions #Ialsohave4legs. This is starting to get messy and i don't know why the windmill is causing so much trouble. The windmill was something to help supposedly but it isn't helping its just causing more problems between us, the animals.  I support whatever Napolean says, but i don't know if his plans are really going to work. I know that animals are good but i don't know if we can keep up with our necessity s. I don't see our future being so bright but that's just what i think i trust Napolean and his plans because for some reason he is the leader and not me.

In the story change is a very interesting thing. Through the story you see the change of ideas. In the beginning you see they seek equality because that is what communism is all about. As the story progresses you see the leader, Napoleon getting more and more selfish. You see that he says he will make everyone equal bu really he is getting more benefits than anyone because he could make amendments to the law for his own benefit. Like when he started killing animals then it was fine to do it if you had good reasons or when he drank alcohol that you could drink. It was what ever he wanted he could do.

Animal Farm at the end wasn't as strong as at the beginning because everyone was realizing that they weren't equal. It wasn't as strong because it was a complete disaster and it wasn't as organized as at the beginning. The idea of equality didn't change but they were less equal than at the beginning when each had their roles. I still believe that equality wasn't achieved at all in the story.

Squealer was kind of the one in charge of the publicity he was Napoleon spokesmen. Squealer did an amazing job in maintaining the animals believing that Napoleon was the best and that he was always right. He made boxer believe that Napoleon was always right and when people started doubting Napoleon because he disapered Snowball he calmed the waters and convinced everyone that everything was fine.

Knowing how the events in the story related to history, how is this quote symbolic of what happened in history?  Is it true?  What point was the author trying to make in writing this?
This quote is really interesting because its really ironic. Even though it is ironic it still says the truth because the power Stalin gained he used for his own benefit and the people in their inner circle so even tough that was his ultimate goal he wasn't really reaching equality. By saying that Ones are more equal than the others is just saying that some are better that some are superior so it isn't really equality and that is seen in the story too.

  1. Armando,

Great use of detail! I really felt what Boxer was feeling during this part of book. I liked how you added some detail to the events to really give life to your writing. I felt like I saw the battle and how Boxer reacted and felt! You could have used more detail in your second paragraph about the confrontation between Napoleon and Snowball to make his thoughts come through better about how he felt toward them. I really like your last paragraph. It really shows me that you have a good understanding of what happened in the book. Please watch your punctuation and some grammatical areas (use of capital letters). It can hinder the flow of the reader as he/she is reading through your thoughts. Overall, excellent work!!!

    Armando,

Excellent job! Your writing has improved so much! You post if very clear and concise and allows the reader to know exactly where you stand on specific issues. I really liked your thoughts about how animals were worse off at the end of the story than at the beginning. Your analysis and perspective is excellent!

Your final paragraph sheds light on the historical connection that the author was trying to make in writing the story. I liked how you looked at the quote as ironic and then explained why. I am really proud of how far you have come as a writer, Armando. You are getting better and better each time and I am excited to see how much more you improve.

    Great job!!
