The farm has changed over time, at the beginning, the main point was that all animal were equal, but then it slowly turned around, and at the end of the novel, the number one rule was that all animal were equal but some animals were more equal than others. Some examples that prove the farm has changed in regard to the idea of equality are when the animals start to receive different food portions, they realise they are not as equal as they were at the beginning. In Animal farm, equality is presented as the solution and afterwards it becomes the main problem, as Squealer changes the rules in favour of the pigs.

Maybe the pigs did not have everything planned since the beginning, but the power got into their heads and found out that the other animals were "blind" to the idea of "equality". The animal that is most similar to the human being is the pig, that is why Orwell represented it as the leader of communism and socialism. If Napoleon would of been capitalist and a democrat, Animal Farm would have worked very well, but since the start of the novel, the reader could see how his intentions were not good, as most of the dictators in Latin America, get to power with the help of the citizens, that is how Hitler, Trujillo and many more did it. The other animals in the farm were very busy working in the land and building the windmill in oder to realise what Napoleon was really doing, or maybe they did know what was going on, but feared to be punished for liberal expression.

Animal Farm's propaganda is represented by Squealer, it is used to promote ideas, it is generally an appeal to emotion, not intellect. As Napoleon appears less and less, Squealer's role in the novel becomes more important. He was very effective at his job, examples that can prove that is when he would lie to the other animals, he is also recognized for being a great persuader. When he told the other animals that pigs needed apples and hoarded milk, because they needed those kind of nutrients. Then when Napoleon canceled the public meetings, Squealer was the one who went and told the animals that they could handle their own issues since everyone was equal.

EXAMPLE #1:
I remember the battle as if it was yesterday; the great Snowball had everything perfectly planned out. we, the ducks, attacked first, our mission was to make the farmers believe they had won by letting them go through our attack. But of course, they didn't realize that there was a second attack waiting for them.

Hard work is paying off on the farm and I'm very happy to be working for this hard worker family. Now that I have the time to think about what  happened, to me, the Battle of Cowshed was a very emotional battle.

EXAMPLE #3:
During this battle, there was a carousal, I was very scared and I started to kick everything that I saw. I kicked a boy in his head with my iron horseshoe, he got knocked out.  Mr. Jones carried a gun, he killed a sheep that was on our side, and after the war we had a funeral in honor of the sheep.

In Russia, the rulers used words and images to keep the population calm and keep their control.
